Sandra S. Pigg

August 31st, 1941 – March 25th, 2018

Sandra S. Pigg, 76, of Canton, IL, formerly of Summum, IL, passed away at 4:15 pm on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born on Sunday, August 31, 1941 in Canton, the daughter of Aubrey L. and Betty J. (West) Ford.
Sandra married Lloyd Pigg on June 7, 1960 in Smithfield, IL. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2014.

Also preceding her in death are her parents and sister, Judy Tarter.

Survivors include her 2 sons, Michael (and Ruth “Kikey”) Pigg of Summum and Mark (and Alison) Pigg of Statesville, N.C., granddaughter, Taylor Pigg, grandson, Bruno Pigg, 2 brothers, Donald Ford of Texas and Vernon Ford of Smithfield, and several nieces and nephews.

Sandra was a homemaker. She was a part of a sewing guild. She also enjoyed China painting and doll making and taking care of her family.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff in the Neuro Science ICU at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria for their time and efforts during Sandra’s time there.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private service with family will be held at a later date.
