Mark Westlake

December 7th, 1963 – October 9th, 2016

Mark Edward Westlake, age 52 of Mason City, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at his brother Stanley's home in Bader, IL. He was born on December 7, 1963 in Beardstown, IL, the son of Glen Allen and Martina (Hardy) Westlake.

Mark is survived by his parents of Astoria, IL, three brothers; Gene Westlake of Browning, IL, Stanley Westlake of Browning, IL, and Scott (and Alice Sheppard) Westlake of Astoria, Il, nephews Caleb, Jason, and Brad Westlake, August and Zach Woolridge, and Tyler and William Sheppard, great-nephews and nieces Dominick, Ciera, Erin, and Tristan Sheppard, and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents Glen and Genevie Westlake and Frankie and Pearl Durell.

Mark was a timber cutter. He also built communication towers across the United States. He attended the South Fulton and Lewistown Schools.

He will be sadly missed by his dogs Oscar, Wilson, Maddie, and Wilbur.

Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date.
